3. [REVIEW] Your movie review... [GrpA]

We've followed the story of Cheryl Strayed and her journey on the PCT. This movie was poignant and it broke our heart. We were emotionly implicated in her story because of how the movie was made and the way they've shot the movie. There were any emotional moments which made us cried, like the death of Cheryl's mother and when Cheryl's brother shot on the horse. We were involved in the story because it's realistic and it can happened to anyone. This movie is an emotional wirhlpool and we're drowning in it. It's hardcore. Cheryl's life is complicated because of her divorce, the death of her mother, the drug and the prostitution. We've discovered the wildeness at the same time than Cheryl. We were losted in the woods like Cheryl. She met akward and creepy hunters and we were as afraid as she of the actions of them. We were scared to her than she was raped. In this movie, Cheryl rediscovered herself unlike we're discovering her during the movie.

WILD, from Jean-Marc Vallée, is a striking film which combines right and wrong. It raises several questions and more precise : "Where are our limits ?". On the first hand they can be geographic and that's what we see through the Cheryl's travel. She needed to confront with the real in order to meet herself, to do meetings, and finally to recharge. Cheryl has physical limits but she surpass them because of her main goal: to do the Pacific crest trail from the beginning to the end... On the other hand they can be imaginary limits. From a social standpoint we can say that there is a gate beetween her and the other. This barrier prevents her to have a balanced life. But fortunately, she succed in surpassing most of her limits. Wild is a film about life, and about problems we could meet. That's why it is easy for the viewers to identify witht the Cheryls character. To conclude, this movie is approachable for all: as well kind as adults... We liked it and recommend!!! BY MOmo et Cécé
